It was one of the coldest nights the forest had ever known, so frozen were the trees that the sparse leaves had frost-bite and even the full appearance of the icey moon could have been a haven for the forest dwellers. Vegitation had been frozen over, but a few patches were left untouched by Jack Frost's chilling magic in the land. The very bottoms of all the trees were green enough that a few ground squirrels could tuck in for the night. As the shadows of the night crept alongside the mountainous region a night walker was making its way through the frozen wasteland.
